Accessories and extras –Stainless-steel slicing disc, shredding disc, chopping/mixing blades, dough blade, spatula, "how-to" DVD, and recipe/instruction book

Warranty3-year limited warranty; 10-year motor warranty

Overall Review – This Cuisinart has a well powered yet quiet motor. It comes with all of the accessories most users will ever need. Having both a 12 cup and 4 cup bowl makes this processor ideal for most projects. 81% of reviewers gave it  4 or 5 stars. Most people say this machine quickly and easily chops, shreds, and slices. It gets lots of praise for its ability to knead bread and pasta dough, even in large batches. Users love the locking blade that stops it from falling out while you empty the bowl.

There was one frequent complaint, even mentioned in the 4 and 5 star reviews. Cuisinart decided to make the work bowl less prone to leakage so that users would be able to fill it with liquids beyond the normal halfway mark. In accomplishing this goal another problem was created. The lid is configured in such a way that food gets stuck in small crevices that are difficult to clean. Many are willing to overlook this flaw because of the myriad of desirable attributes this food processor possesses. One reviewer said he uses a flattened straw to clean the hard to reach areas. Some people say the re-design not only made cleaning harder, but didn't fix the original problem. Many still experience leakage. Another problem mentioned repeatedly in the reviews involves the slicing and shredding discs. Cuisinart designed them with finger holes to make them easier to remove. The problem is that small pieces of food can pass through these holes unprocessed. There are also reports of food being trapped between the top of the disc and the lid, also remaining unprocessed. Overall Rating it has an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars

Overall Review81% of the reviews of this food processor are very favorable and accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. It is one one of a few food processors available with an induction motor. An induction motor is more expensive than a standard, universal motor. But it is also more efficient, powerful and durable. So don't be fooled by the wattage listing for this model (624). A 625 watt induction motor is much more powerful than a 625 watt standard motor. Most reviewers love the power this machine offers. They say it is sturdy, easy to use and provides even results. The blades are sharp and this model comes with all the basic accessories.

The majority of negative reviews are disappointed with this model compared to the old Cuisinarts made in the 1970s and 1980s. It really says something about Cuisinart that they aren't compared to competing brands but rather their own creations. It is true that Cuisinarts are no longer made in France; they are now made in China. They have changed through the years (like any company) but they still offer a product that is loved by the overwhelming majority of users. Read these 303 customer reviews

Accessories and extras – steel blade, dough blade, slicing disc, shredding disc, extra large feed tube, spatula, recipe book & 30 minute instructional video

Warranty5 year full motor, 3 year limited entire unit

Overall Rating4.5 out of 5 stars

Overall ReviewMost of the reviews for this food processor are very favorable; in fact, 88% of the reviewers gave this Cuisinart a 4 or 5 star rating. This appears to be a well powered appliance capable of many tasks. It comes with all of the basic attachments most users will need. This is an ideal option for someone who normally only prepares food for 1 or 2 people. There were some reviewers that complained about not being able to process a lot of food at once in this model. Keep in mind that this is a compact food processor and you will need to get a full-sized model if you want to process large amounts of food at once.

Users say this machine is powerful yet quiet compared to cheaper options. They say it is well-designed and well-constructed. Most reviewers love how quickly and evenly it can slice, chop and grate. They report that it easily kneads bread and pasta dough.

What will you find in the negative reviews? There are a lot of people who are unhappy with the design of the pusher. It must be locked into place for the machine to work (it's a safety feature many find unnecessary and overzealous). That means you need to stop the machine and remove the pusher every time you want to add more food. Most food processors allow you to continuously add food while the machine is running. People also feel the design of the pusher makes it difficult to clean and therefore unsanitary.

There were a few complaints that this machine is too heavy. You should keep in mind that a more powerful motor will not only perform better but also weigh more. This extra weight also adds to the overall stability of the machine. Plastic is cheap and also doesn't weigh much. You should always be wary of a light food processor, not a heavy one.See All 858 food processor Reviews

Overall Rating 4.5 out of 5 stars

Overall Review88% of the reviews of this food processor were accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. The majority of reviews show this machine to be well powered and able to provide quick and consistent results. This is a great food processor for any cook looking for a full size machine that is on the smaller size. It can handily chop, shred or puree. It can also knead bread and pasta dough with ease. It has a wide-mouth feed tube to allow you to process whole fruits and vegetables without pre-cutting them. It also has an insert to allow you to process narrow items, such as carrots, upright. Reviewers say the handle placement in the front is ideal for both left-handed and right-handed people.

There are some complaints about food getting trapped between the shredding or grating discs and the lid, not allowing it to be properly processed.

One interesting note: the box states that this model is compatible with accessories for the Cuisinart Prep 7 DLC-2007N. Strangely, this information is not stated on Amazon or Cuisinart's own websites. Many people worried about the lack of available accessories for this model, but it seems it is more of a lack of clear information from the maker. Cuisinart DLC-4CHB Mini-Prep Plus 4-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel

Bowl Size Mini – 4 Cup

Accessories and extras – none

Warranty18 month limited

Overall Rating4 out of 5 stars

Overall Review 72% of the reviews of this food processor were accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. Most people agreed that it is a great value and works well for it's size. This handy little appliance excels at small tasks such as chopping herbs or garlic. It's great for small batches of pesto or hummus. Most of the unfavorable reviews stemmed from consumers who expected it to perform in the same way as a full-sized model.

Many people were disappointed that "brushed stainless steel" is simply a color option, meaning it is actually plastic made to look like metal. This model is limited in its use, and not just by its diminutive size. It has one blade (no discs) and two settings: grind and chop. The blade is auto-reversing and most people report that it does a great job at grinding and chopping. But keep in mind that it is not designed to do other types of processing, such as grating or slicing. It comes with no shredding or grating or slicing discs, and they are not available to purchase separately. There is no hole or feed tube, which means you can't drizzle oil for an emulsification (mayo or salad dressings).

Obviously any inadequacies caused by this model's small size can't be overcome, but this is a great option if you're looking for a small food processor/ food chopper. Check out our Food Processor Buying Guide for more information on size before you buy. Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor

Bowl Size Full Size – 14 Cup

Accessories and extras –extra-large feed tube, small and large pushers, stainless-steel slicing disc, shredding disc, chopping blade, dough blade, spatula, instruction/recipe booklet, and video

Warranty3-year limited warranty with 5-year warranty on motor

Overall Rating4.5 out of 5 stars

Overall Review –  84% of the reviews of this food processor were accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. It is large enough and powerful enough to process large amounts of food without even a hint of a struggle. It does a great job kneading dough for bread or pasta. It slices, grates and chops easily and quickly. Most people say this is a wonderful appliance that will save you loads of time and hassle in the kitchen.

What issues led the other 15% to give this Cuisinart a poor rating? The most common complaints boil down to two issues: over zealous safety features and customer service problems.

The bowls of all modern food processors have safety latches which must be engaged for the machine to work. Many reviewers feel that the safety latch on this model is difficult to click into place. This leads to the use of excess force and in turn often results in cracks within the bowl or latch. The bowl must then be replaced before the unit can be used. There is another cumbersome safety feature mentioned often in the reviews; the entire feed tube assembly must be engaged for the food processor to run. This means anything longer than the feed tube must be cut into shorter pieces before processing. And you must stop the machine and remove the pusher to add more food. Most models allow you to continuously feed food into the tube while processing.

Many customer service issues surface time and time again in the reviews of any Cuisinart product. This is quite unfortunate since Cuisinart  food processors are considered by many to be the best in the industry. There are many reviews that paint a picture of a company unwilling or unable to help when something goes wrong. If you decide to buy a Cuisinart the best way around this problem is to buy from a store you can trust with a good return policy. This way you can hopefully avoid dealing with Cuisinart customer service in the event a problem does arise. That is why all sales on the site go through Amazon. They have a stellar reputation and a great return policy.

There are also a few complaints about the positioning of the shredding/gratings discs. There is a small space that allows food to be trapped between the disc and the lid. That food remains unprocessed and you must either cut it by hand or waste it.

Overall this food processor did get very good reviews. It is well powered, quiet and efficient. It makes everyday kitchen tasks easier and does everything you expect a food processor to do. It comes with all of the accessories you need to get started and you have the option to buy more accessories in the future. There is one useful feature absent: a mini bowl for small tasks. Keep in mind that this is one accessory that can't be added in the future. See All 473 Reviews

Cuisinart DLC-XP Series 20-Cup Food Processor

Bowl Size Full Size– 20 Cup

Accessories and extras –chopping and dough blades, shredding disc, and three slicing discs

Warrantythree-year limited warranty; five-year warranty for motor

Overall Rating4.5 out of 5 stars

Overall Review – 88% of the reviews for this massive food processor are favorable and paired with a 4 or 5 star rating. That approval rating jumps to 95% if you disregard two reviews written by people who have never used this Cuisinart 20 cup (which we will discuss later). Most home cooks fortunate enough to own it have no regrets. It's size and power are unrivaled in this price range. Many consider it to be the best food processor you can buy for home use and it can even be found in some restaurants. It can do everything you expect out of a food processor with ease. It can handle large batches of batter or dough. It can slice huge amounts of veggies very quickly. It is fast and precise. It gives very even results time after time.

Reviewers report that it not only has a larger capacity than other models, but a much stronger motor. They say you need to get accustomed to processing for less time, because it can quickly over-process items with its massive motor, turning them to mush or something resembling wet sawdust. This is a good thing; once you get used to the extra power, you will save lots of time in the kitchen.

Among the detailed reviews you will find people who have used this fine machine regularly for 10, 15 and even 30 (yes, 30!) years and still love it. It's easy to see that this model is expensive, but likely the last food processor you will ever need to buy, making it a good investment.

What will you find in the negative reviews? There are only three. Two are written by people who have never used the Cuisinart 20 cup. One just feels the price is too high for something made of metal and plastic. The other received an out-of-warranty Cuisinart (different model, not the 20 cup) as a gift. She was very upset that Cuisinart would not pay to fix a problem with her machine. Seems she should be more mad at the gift-giver for gifting something that is no longer under warranty. The third person did actually use this product. The handle broke after a year of use and he was upset by the terms of the warranty. In order to use the warranty you must return the broken part (and pay the shipping costs) and wait 4 to 6 weeks for a replacement. Unfortunately, this is true of all Cuisinart products. Cuisinart FP-14DC Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor, Die Cast

Bowl SizeFull Size with 3 bowl sizes – 14 Cup, 11 cup and 4 1/2 cup bowls

Accessories and extrasStainless-steel slicing disc and shredding disc, chopping/mixing blade, dough blade, spatula, recipe/instruction book, and how-to DVD

Warranty –  3-year limited warranty; 10-year motor warranty

Watts-  it has a 1000 watt motor

Weight – it has a shipping weight of 29 pounds

Overall Rating it has an overall rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Overall Review74% of the reviews of this food processor are very favorable and accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. This food processor actually comes with three different bowl sizes, to make sure you always have the right size for the job at hand. Reviewers love how versatile that makes this machine. It is powerful and solid. Most people say this food processor handles everything without straining, even kneading large amounts of dough. In addition to the powerful motor making bread making easy, it also comes with a dough blade and has a dough mode.

This model has a large feed tube, which eliminates pre-cutting food most of the time. The blade locks into place, which makes it easier to empty the work bowl without first removing the blade. It is very quiet even though it has a large, powerful motor.

What did the other 26% say about this Cuisinart in the negative reviews? Surprisingly, many of the issues they bring up can also be found in the positive reviews. Many users admit to experiencing these same problems, but choose to deal with them due to the many positive features on this model.

Cuisinart tried to make this food processor leak-proof. Doing this caused another problem; the lid has places where food can get trapped and it becomes difficult to clean this model. Reviewers offer many suggestions on how to clean the lid, including skewers, flattened straws, toothpicks, steak knives and toothbrushes. The worst part is that the re-design doesn't seem to have fixed the original problem. Users say leaking is still an issue and you can only hope to process between 4 and 6 cups of liquid in the large bowl without leakage. Many overlook this deficiency, and turn to their blender for processing large amounts of liquid.

The second issue oft repeated in the reviews is regarding shredding/slicing with the discs. The disks have finger-hold holes in them and small pieces of food can fall through these holes without being processed. The discs sit about a 1/2 inch below the lid, which means there will be food between the disc and lid that will remain unprocessed. This leaves people to either cut the rest by hand, or throw it away. Many users say that the food that does properly pass through the slicing disc is unevenly sliced.

The last problem was only experienced by a small amount of reviewers, but it is definitely something to take into consideration. This model comes with a 3 year limited warranty. This was a selling point for some people who passed on the higher rated Breville Sous Chef due to its 1 year warranty. Many customers were very disappointed when they had to utilize that warranty for either broken parts or a machine that wouldn't turn off (the second one was the most common reason for repair). They were informed that they would have to pay to have the defective unit sent to Cuisinart. This has a hefty shipping weight (29 pounds) and that can be quite costly, especially if you live far from a service center. They were also told to send $10 towards the cost of Cuisinart shipping the item back once fixed. And then there is the waiting. You can expect to wait between 4 and 6 weeks for them to repair the broken machine.READ 473 REVIEWS HERE
