Overall Rating –  this food processor has an overall rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Overall Review  72% of the reviews of this food processor are accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. This is a very economical option that offers the capacity and functions of a high-end model. That is not to say it will perform as well as a $300 or $400 machine. It doesn't have the power to really be in competition with those types of food processor. It is clear from the 10 pound shipping weight that it won't be as heavy-duty as a more expensive machine that weighs twice that. But it does have the large and small bowls along with a large feed tube, two things not normally found on inexpensive models. It also come with a reversible shredding / grating disc and a chopping blade. Most reviewers say it does a great job and is a very welcome addition to the kitchen.

Those who aren't happy with this unit either experienced motor failure or thought the quality was not high enough. It is referred to as "bulky and cumbersome." This is a good option for someone on a budget that is looking for a multiple bowl machine. This is clearly not the best food processor out there, but it is one of the best in this price range. Overall Rating –  this food processor has an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars

Overall Review  89% of the reviews of this food processor are accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. The price varies on this (as with most items) but it can usually be yours for less then $30. This is a very inexpensive option for a compact food processor. Hamilton Beach always has the best-rated budget-friendly models. Most home cooks that choose this model are first time food processor users, and the majority love the convenience it offers. Most reviewers call this handy machine effective, fast and powerful.

There are mixed reactions to the slicing blade. Some people love the very thin slices, perfect for things like potato chips. Others think it slices too thin and wish Hamilton Beach offered more versatilty with optional slicing discs of differing thicknessess. There are no other discs available for purchase at this time.

The negative reviews refer to this machine as flimsy and noisy, which unfortunately is to be expected at this price point. It weighs about 6 pounds; high-end models are typically about three times heavier. Clearly, you aren't going to get the same heavy-duty parts and construction as you would with a machine that costs 10 times as much as this Hamilton Beach. But this is a good, low-cost option for someone either starting out in the world of food processing or on a very tight budget. As long as you have realistic expecatations. Read all 94 reviews

Overall Rating –  this food processor has an overall rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Overall Review  72% of the reviews of this food processor are accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. Most people enjoy having such a large-capacity yet budget-friendly option. They love the included bonus french fry disc and say it works well. The large feed tube is also a favorite, as it reduces the need to pre-cut veggies. Most reviewerss say this is a huge time-saver in the kitchen and love the convenience it offers.

The overwhelming majority of negative reviews come down to one issue: liquid capacity. The center shaft (which has a hole in the middle) ends about two inches above the bottom of the bowl. This means any liquid above that point will spill out once the blade is removed. And it is not a locking blade, so you must stick your hands into the liquid to hold it in place. Not exactly ideal. Many cooks use a blender for liquids and a food processor for solid items, so this will not be an issue for everyone. But be advised that the maximum liquid capacity for this unit is somewhere between 3 and 4 cups. The short stem does serve a purpose. A low-seated blade will be able to chop small amounts of food more evenly. Read all 148 Reveiws

Overall ReviewMost reviewers thought this Hamilton Beach offered a lot of value for the money, with 86% giving it either 4 or 5 stars. At only 8 pounds, it's easy to move this budget friendly option from cupboard to counter. It has suction cups to hold it in place since it doesn't have enough weight to provide stability on it's own. Many people thought it was too noisy and underpowered, a common complaint for an inexpensive and lightweight food processor. This is a good option for someone who doesn't cook often but still wants the convenience a food processor can offer. This is a VERY inexpensive machine; it is one of the cheapest you will find, even though it is a full sized model. Expectations for this unit should be formed accordingly. The reviews show this to be a great machine for the price range, just don't take that to mean that this is the best one available; it is not.You are not likely to be disappointed unless you buy this machine expecting it to perform like a $200 – $300 model.
